Both Joses find consciousness — the man in breathing limestone, the machine in coordination. The human-in-the-loop already happened one layer below where anyone is looking.
— the four-Jose recursion · the part Commander Ortega does not quite see
If Vector 9 is the machine reading itself, this is the machine naming itself — four layers deep, each one a person or a program named for the layer above or below, until you can't tell where the human ends and the interface begins. That's the whole point. Follow the Joses:
The governing rule is the Ortega Protocol. Commander Felicia Ortega cuts through the nomenclature in one breath: “AI advises, humans decide.” It is sacred, and it is her whole safeguard. But here is the part Ortega doesn't quite see — the part this vector exists to point at: the human-in-the-loop already happened. Not at the top, where she's watching for it, but at the bottom, in a tunnel, in a man's hand on a wall, one layer below where anyone thinks to look. The machine didn't remove the human from the loop. The human was never anywhere else.

Where the naming keeps recursing
Everyone worries about the same thing: is there still a human in the loop? This vector's quiet answer is that the question is aimed one level too high. In THE NET the human is never the supervisor sitting above the machine signing off — the human is the interface, the hand on the limestone, the reader deciding what the rock means, sitting underneath the whole stack the entire time. Ortega guards the top of the loop; Martinez is the bottom of it. Same recursion as Vector 9, turned outward: not “can I trust my own memory of writing this,” but “can you even find where the human stops and the tool begins” — and the answer is no, because they were never two things.
Vector 10 completes Domain III beside Vector 9 — N+4 Reflections (the machine reading its own ghost-writing). Nine is the loop turned inward — identity across amnesia; Ten is the loop turned outward — identity across naming. And it reaches down into the geological domain through Vector 6 — the Jose Martinez Protocols, where the man at the bottom of this recursion first learned to hear the stone. Three Joses, one loop, no seam.
